Deaf Youth Camp (Ages 9 -12)
Deaf Camp ~ Create unforgettable camping memories that would last in your minds.
Time to get away from your iPhones/androids and technology! Get outside with nature and have an adventure on the lake in the beautiful Adirondack mountains!
Camp Mark Seven offers many social, teamwork and leadership activities for the deaf children program. The program is designed to provide a sense of caring for one other, honesty, respect as well as enhancing each camper’s self confidence, self esteem, social skills, teamwork, initiative, work and play with other campers and camp staff. With this goal, campers will have FUN with diverse camp activities.
Program Activities:
- Swimming and tubing.
- Canoe trips
- Diverse outdoor games.
- Deaflympics.
- Arts & crafts.
- STEM activities.
- Hike different mountains.
- Evening Bonfires.
- Shopping in Old Forge and Inlet.
- Waterpark.
Campers will create skits for Parents’ Night; Parents’ Night is offered at the end of the program, and family members are invited to come and watch their child’s skits. CM7 shirt included.
This program is available for everyone – we serve deaf children ages 9 to 12 from residential schools for the deaf, mainstreamed programs for the deaf and hard of hearing, and public schools with interpreting services or special programs for deaf individuals with cochlear implants.
For Registered Campers: Forms are coming for 2024
Please download all forms, print, fill clearly and mail the forms to CM7, PO Box 124, Pittsford, NY 14534 before May 1st. Please be sure to FILL out everything and do not include any staples, paper clips, etc. Be sure to remember to send photocopies on a full page of insurance card and immunizations.
