KODA Programs

KODA Children Week (8-10) and Youth Camp (11-13) and Teen Camp (14-16) Programs

  • Camp Mark Seven offers a place where hearing children of Deaf parents could come together to learn about, and better understand the two worlds that they simultaneously live in, and where they could explore, identify, and strengthen their unique C/KODA identities and develop individually as leaders. All of this would occur, ideally, in a recreational camping environment that would foster a lot of interaction and activities for each child and youth.
  • Program activities include swimming, tubing, overnight camping canoe trips, various outdoor games, arts and crafts, hiking, bonfires, and other evening activities. Campers will also be able to shop in the town of Old Forge and visit the biggest waterpark in New York, Water Safari. Over the course of two weeks, campers will work together to develop skits that will be shown on Talent Show night as well as some on Parents Night. We invite all parents and families to attend Parents Night at the end of the program where we enjoy food, stories, and reflect on the past two weeks together! A CM7 shirt is included.
Both KODA programs are open to hearing children of Deaf adults (KODAs). For more information, contact the KODA Programs Director at kodadir@campmark7.org
